Had a great week (last year) in Nova Scotia with SpeckTackler and her folks.
Here is a shot of my father-in-law (Shikel) dancing to "Scotland The Brave"
Peggy's Cove smothered in tourists!
Closest land to flight 111 site
Shikel watching the boys bait their lines!
The next morning at low tide!
Shikel wondering where the water went!
Rented a little cabin on the N/E Margaree for a few days,
and a Durango to check out the back roads!
Here is the sign in the meadow by our cabin.
And Shikel near the Hart Pool with a Salmon he found!
My father-in-law is in his 93 year of life, so this trip was extra special. You don't get to party with the likes of him too often!
I'll throw a few more photos in here!
The old guy and the older guy! LOL
The N/E/ Margaree near our cabin
The next five shots are of a concert on the warf
at Mabou Coal Mines. Anyone who knows Cape Breton
will recognize some of the talent!
And in the last shot of the mottly crew, you will see TroutSlayer Senior in front center!
If anyone is interested, the rest of the photos of that trip are at this link for viewing:
www.cimcom.ca/ns05Heather and Raylene both put some time in on the warf for us!
After the "Caleigh On The Warf" at Mabou Coal Mines, we went up the road to Inverness where the Rankin sisters own and run a pub called the "Red Shoe", the drink and live music continued there as well!
