Is it just me or does anybody else see something wrong with the "businessmen" who offered over $3 billion to buy all 30 NHL teams? The total value of these teams is nowhere near that, especially with the current situation of the lockout. It would be scary to see all teams owned by a US coalition but hey, we may at least be playing.

I think I'd rather have no hockey for as long as it takes for both sides to hammer out an agreement. However, the situation we have now is being controlled by an American. Gary Bettman has nearly every owner in the league eating out of his hand. But Bob Goodenow is no better either. He's making decisions that aren't necessarily representative of the players. I think both sides need new reps.
