After Canseco's book allegations of extensive steroid use by former teammates such as Mark McGuire and Jason Giambi, as well as allegedly introducing steroids to his Texas teammates Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez and Juan Gonzalez, there has been a huge lashback by named players as well as Tommy Larusa.
What are your thoughts on the whole deal?

Larusa isn't stupid, he knows who was on the roids and who wasn't. The fact that everyone is all up in arms is simply because they don't want the game to be tarnished any more than what it already is. Well, too late. I believe Canseco 100%. Look at Jason Giambi in his early years. He was a rake. Then all of the sudden he blows up one summer. There's no way you get that big in a few months just from hitting the gym.
I like what the Yankees have done recently. When they sign players it is in the contract that players will be immediately released from the team if they abuse or misuse steroids. Hopefully other teams will adopt this policy.

Thats the first I've heard about that policy but man what a great idea, and what a classy move by the Yankees. I'm not a fan of the money bank teams but I have to applaud them for that move.

Yeah, I just heard about it the other day myself. It is kind of ironic when you consider that Giambi is still a Yankee. I thought after the allegations surfaced the Yanks would have tried to trade him for Delgado. I guess they would prefer "ROID RAGES" over lack of effort.
