Seeing as how the Raptors are playing better as a team and without the controversy of Vince Carter, are they a better team without Carter? The answer seems obvious but you have to wonder how Vince would have done in TO if he had put in the effort he is since his trade.
Toronto is a great sport city and Vince should have shown more respect to the city and it's fans. If he wanted out he should have said so from the start. With his numerous "injuries" he did affect his trade value thus sabotaging any return for Toronto fans.
I think he should hang his head in shame for his antics.
Your thoughts?

The Raptors are absolutely a better team without Vince. I think Vince's head got way too big too fast. He is walking wounded and is a big sook. Michael Jordan was a sook too, but atleast he sucked it up and dealt with it. I think the Raps had no choice but to let him go. It's just unfortunate that we got nothing in return. But I have to say, I love what Sam Mitchell has done with the team. Like he said, he doesn't see names on the back of jerseys, just numbers. Mitchell is exactly what the Raptors have been missing. Give them 2-3 years and the Raptors are Eastern Conference contenders.
As much as I hate Vince, he has been lighting it up as of late. Back to back 40+ point performances. Good show but still the biggest baby in the history of the Association.

I totally agree! VC is the Lindros of the NBA but there is no comparison in the return on both players. Just look at what Quebec got for Lindros:
Philadelphia Flyers traded Ron Hextall, Peter Forsberg, Steve Duchesne, Kerry Huffman, Mike Ricci, Chris Simon, 1st round selection (Jocelyn Thibault) in 1993, 1st round selection (later traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs) in 1994 and cash to the Quebec Nordiques for Eric Lindros.
And Lindros hadn't stepped on the ice in the NHL nor has he won a Stanley Cup but guess who has?

I didn't realize that all of those players were involved in that trade. It's hard to believe it's been that long ago too. Just like Sidney Crosby, Eric Lindros' father made all of his decisions for him. I guess when your two sons get concussions every time they strap on a helmet you kind of have to be the brains.
