A Commonwealth Games boxing medallist is facing assault charges in connection with an incident in Cape Breton. Marty O'Donnell is charged with assault and uttering a threat. The Incident happened on March 25 in Glace Bay and involved a female.. O'Donnell, who is from Glace Bay, will appear in court to enter a plea on June 15th. He was scheduled to appear in court earlier this week but instead his mother appeared and explained her son was away working in Ontario. O'Donnell won a silver medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and was also a member of the Canadian boxing team at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.
